Yarn Meter Stand™ - A
solution for raising the height of your yarn meter to better match the
height of your swift or ball winder
Our new stand is designed
to raise the height of your meter, tensioner (or even the Royal brand
ball winder) so that you can avoid the
steep decline or incline from your swift or jumbo type ball winder,
including our own Heavy Duty Ball Winder.
You simply attach the stand to your table with our
exclusive clamping system. Then you attach your Yarn Meter, Yarn Meter
Plus, or Tensioner to the top of the Yarn Meter Stand by clamping it
with your existing table clamp that came with your meter.
By using our new Yarn Meter Stand, you are simply
raising the height of the meter or tensioner and thereby reducing the
steep decline/incline in the yarn path that may have existed. By
reducing these severe directional changes in the yarn path, you will be
reducing the tension on your yarn.
Royal Ball Winder users may want to use the stand to
raise the height of their ball winder. Since the small Royal unit is
relatively low compared to swifts, raising it up may create less tension
on the yarn being wound.
For users who own the standard Royal brand ball winder
and our metering system, they may benefit by
putting both the meter and the ball winder on separate stands.
The stand was specifically designed for users of our
ball winder and our yarn meter. Our Ball Winder has a high yarn entry
point and our meter was too low to provide a straight yarn path from the
swift. With the use of the Yarn Meter Stand, we have eliminated any
issues related to the height differential between the swift and ball
winder.
All NKK Yarn Meters and Tensioners can be used on the
Yarn Meter Stand.
