We are pleased to offer our customers the option of having a Knit Knack Sack II or Pack made from their very own fabric. We know that some fiber artists would prefer to use a piece of their favorite fabric to make either a Pack or Sack so we now offer that capability. You may order one right on this page. Please read the entire page for important details and requirements before ordering.

Here are some of the details of what we use and what we need from you:

Standard materials used (we use the same materials that we use in our regular sacks and packs but you can select colors on certain items when you use your own fabric):

• Drawstring and Web belt: either Navy or Black*
• Metal parts: Grommet and Snap Hook - Silver colored metal
• Plastic parts: Belt buckle, tri-glide, cord stop, snap hook - Black
• Lining: Either Black or Ivory/White 4 ounce 50-50 poly cotton blend * (we recommend Black for Sacks and Light colored for Packs)
• Zippers are colored to match the lining color
• Sack/Pack fabric: Customer furnished  - you need to send fabric to us in order to make the item

* = Customer decides which color to use on our order form

• 14" long (vertical orientation of the pattern - the way the Sack will look while standing up)
• 34" wide

Packs

• 24" long (vertical orientation of the pattern - the way the Sack will look while standing up)
• 45" wide

Ordering Process

2. Click on the Buy button
3. Select Sack or Pack
4. Select Preferred Lining color
5. Select Web Belt and Drawstring color
6. Complete order
7. Be sure to select Ship Via "Custom Sack or Pack Order" to avoid additional freight

You will need to send the fabric to our Michigan location where the item will be manufactured.

Leadtime: You should allow up to 3 weeks (1 week in transit to Michigan, 1 week of assembly leadtime, and 1 week return shipping time back to you). This leadtime may be improved if the total shipping time is less.

All orders are final: Once we receive your fabric, the order is non-cancellable. You are responsible for selecting a fabric which you like and which has the correct weight. Be sure to select a fabric that is not to heavy. All of our Sacks and Packs must have the ability to "gather" by means of a drawstring or webbing in order to close. If a fabric is too thick, it may not close. Be sure to test it before shipping.   

Warranty - we warrant the assembled Sack or Pack against defects in workmanship and materials (only those materials provided by us) for 90 days from the date of receipt by the customer. If any defect is discovered, we will repair it for free. Please inspect the Sack or Pack immediately upon receipt. If the item initially arrives with a warranty defect, we will pay the postage in both directions to have it repaired. Otherwise during the balance of the 90 day warranty, you must return it to us prepaid and we will pay the postage back to you.     

Under no circumstances shall we be responsible for the quality, appearance, or flexibility of your fabric.

Pricing: All pricing includes the cost for the Sack or Pack and return Priority Postage to you.

Sacks - $45.99   (normally $42.99 with shipping)

Packs - $63.99   (normally $61.99 with shipping)

Our added labor cost for making one Sack at a time is the reason for the increase in cost plus we have accounted for eliminating our cost of the fabric that we use.
